⤢Filtration Group enhanced a competitor's hydrocracker system by increasing filtration surface area by approximately 80% through element replacement alone — extending intervals between backwashes while maintaining identical footprints, housings and valves.
We also retrofit wedge wire elements for DHDS units previously using mesh cartridges, which required frequent replacement and generated waste.
We conduct CFD studies and utilize metered plates to optimize backwash effectiveness. This approach extends service intervals and reduces recycling waste. Our wedge wires support in-situ steam backwashing, particularly effective for removing asphaltenes from coker streams at lower temperatures, restoring acceptable pressure differentials. Additional offerings include engineering guidance on fluid stream combinations and robust elements featuring superior collapse and burst pressure specifications.
